A-G Curriculum
At Oak Grove Preparatory Academy, all students are encouraged, supported, and provided full access to coursework that meets the A–G college entrance requirements, ensuring they graduate prepared for college and future opportunities. The A–G requirements are a sequence of high school courses that students must complete with a grade of C or better to be eligible for admission to the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) systems. Students must complete 15 year-long A–G courses, with at least 11 completed before their senior year. Oak Grove Prep’s academic structure, counseling support, and innovative scheduling are intentionally designed to help every student stay on track and succeed in completing these requirements.
Students at Oak Grove Prep have multiple pathways to meet A–G requirements, including traditional high school courses, Dual Enrollment college classes, and in some cases, approved exam scores. With the exception of math and language other than English, all A–G subject requirements are completed during grades 9–12. Through personalized guidance, flexible scheduling, and access to advanced and accelerated coursework, Oak Grove Prep ensures students can meet college admission standards while still exploring electives, Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways, and enrichment opportunities.
